Description

OBS is looking for a junior legal role (corporate) focusing especially on contracting and contract management in the broadcasting and digital environment.

The role reports to the Head of Legal for the international (Spanish) affiliates of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), namely Olympic Broadcasting Services S.L.

(OBS) and Olympic Channel Services S.L. (OCS).

These companies act as the host broadcaster of the Olympic, Paralympic and Youth Olympic Games, and as the permanent digital and technology operation of the IOC, respectively.

This role is accordingly diverse and covers a broad range of corporate transactions especially in the fields of broadcasting, digital and technology in a highly international environment.

Duties

The role covers the preparation of international contracts in a broad manner, i.e. from technology transactions, to equipment acquisitions and leases, logistics transactions, etc. (OBS) and mainly digital strategy, content creation and technology (for OCS).

The role has a corresponding focus on contract drafting, in close collaboration with the more senior lawyers of the OBS/OCs Legal Department.

Experience

Furthermore, the role requires the proactive management of the broad OBS and OCS contract portfolio.

This part includes especially providing ongoing feedback to business stakeholders regarding contracting status, terms in force, or structuring upcoming deals so that they align with the existing approach to contracting.

This also includes managing a broad set of reminders, so that the OBS/OCS contract portfolio is efficiently managed.

A contract management background and experience with Smartsheet (and similar tools) is of the essence. A proactive and hands-on approach to work is expected, with outstanding organizational and project management skills.

English skills at native level are a must, including legal drafting.

Post-qualified experience of at least 2 years is required.

The role is based in Madrid, as a part of the outstanding Legal team of Olympic Broadcasting Services, which also provides shared services to Olympic Channel Services.
