    The General Insurance division offers a broad range of products to customers through a diversified, multichannel distribution network.

    About the Role

    We are seeking an Underwriter for our A&H Spain team. This role will contribute to underwriting new and renewal business, developing and maintaining relationships with brokers, building strong client relationships, and working to carry out agreed strategies.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Evaluate new and renewal policies against prescribed criteria to determine if risk qualifies for acceptance.
    • Verify and rate new business, investigate inconsistencies related to risk acceptance, and review situations not covered by criteria.
    • Develop information for underwriters to isolate problems and manage underwriting to achieve profitable growth.
    • Analyze submissions for accuracy of policy issuance information from the underwriter and/or broker.
    • Support group underwriting to achieve profitable growth.

    Requirements

    • Strong product and local market experience with underwriting assistance experience with individual insurance products.
    • Experience with group, travel, specialty, and affinity products would be a plus.
    • Fluent in Spanish and English.
    • Strong sales and negotiation background with a strong understanding of sales process, including pre-sale and post-sale requirements of the business.
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
    • Knowledge of key regulatory requirements.
