Demand Manager Automotive OEM
Hybrid position (3 days in the office and 2 days from home)


Automotive OEM Demand Manager is part of the EMEA Industrial Segment Demand Team, reporting to the EMEA Demand Planning Director, inside the Supply Chain Organization.


As Demand Manager you will be responsible for driving the demand processes within the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process with primary scope of collecting and challenging short, medium and long term forecasts from sales and formally pass these information to supply chain, being responsible for the accuracy together with the Sales teams and drive improvement plans.

Aligning with Finance with Financial plans.


You will lead the MSO (Market Sign Off), on a monthly basis for each of the markets/accounts responsible for, as well as leads a reconciliation process to EMEA level.


The Demand Manager shares responsibility, with the rest of supply chain organization, on inventory value optimization, SSPL and costs minimization.


You will drive forecast accuracy increase, reduce bias and be the owner of the Service Level Agreement sign off process, favoring the alignment between business expectation and total supply chain costs control.


Key Responsibilities

  • Be the key driver of the demand review process, strategic element of SIOP by interacting with business, marketing, product mgt, finance; collect input from Product reviews; prepare and manage MSO (Market Sign Off) by business areas in volume and value; provide demand input for PSO (Production Sign Off process) at plant level.
  • Responsible to collect 12 months rolling forecasts, manage new launches and run out and build scenario's including opportunities and vulnerabilities in the pipeline, understanding and managing implications, at the scope of maximize service and prevent, reduce supply chain costs impact.
  • Collect 24 to 36 months forecast for medium long term capacity analysis.
  • Be responsible for forecast tool management and data integrity maintenance.
  • Implement improved methods like statistical forecasting and the use of IBP to support improvements and reconciliation process.
  • Manage a monthly demand reconciliation process taking bottom up forecast, consolidate it and assess versus market indicators and budget, suggest adjustments for improved accuracy and bias. Sign off with commercial director.
  • Support BSR's, RBR's and Profit Plan, translating business input into meaningful input for Supply Chain on demand projections.
  • Proactively interact with supply chain and logistic for changes in demand, to optimize inventory, reduce freight and SSPL.
  • Identify and propose, through analysis of demand, opportunity for SKU rationalization, supply flow changes, production relocation/localization
  • Be responsible of building a formal/informal Service Level Agreement between customer / sales and supply chain, maintain it in consequence of any needed change and be key driver of resolving conflicts linked to it.
  • Be responsible of creating a supply chain collaborative approach culture, focusing on Sales teams training, coaching and support; manage demand planning job duties with sales/service teams and the other roles acting in forecasting.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering/Logistics/Economical Degree preference Supply Chain qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain/demand management activities within manufacturing areas
  • Good knowledge of key Supply Chain principles, key markets and Customer Service Principles

Skills:


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strategic approach, to understand impact of demand management on the enterprise
  • Excellent analytical skills (Mathematical and logical capabilities)
  • Knowledge of IT tools (11i, Focus, QlikView, Power BI, Cognos, Excel).


  • Excellent English

  • Fluent in 2nd language.
  • Ability to deal with complexity through number of SKU's, products, supply routes, cultures.
  • Financial & commercial awareness.
