We are looking for an enthusiastic student to join our Maps Analytics team in Madrid As a Data/Python Engineer Intern, you will immerse yourself in the data world, collecting, analyzing, and transforming data, and scaling-up processes to help us upgrade our maps for our end-customers We look for people who are curious, innovative, out of the box thinker, loves taking risk and work to make system better every day.

The impact you'll make:

You will help us collect large amounts of unruly (spatial) data and transform it into a more usable format
You will solve businessrelated problems using datadriven techniques
You will help us to stay on top of computational techniques such as big data computing, realtime computing, continuous development
You will identify patterns in data, as well as spotting trends that can help improving the business's bottom line
You will communicate and collaborate with both Data Scientists and with the Maps Operations Team globally

What you'll need:

You should be enrolled as a fulltime student for the entire duration of the internship
You have an EU citizenship or enrolment in a Spanish university due to work permit regulations
You are available to start 1st of February
You are fluent in English
You have programming experience with Python and SQL
You have experience working with the main python libraries for data processing (pyspark, pandas, numpy, )
You have experience with data visualization (storytelling) (e.g., dash, streamlit)
Being familiar with Microsoft cloud computing (Azure & Databricks)

Internship incentives with TomTom:

1100 Euros/month (gross salary based on fulltime work)
6 internship contract, with the option of extending to 9 or 12 months by mutual agreement.
