The Alcon Experience Center in Barcelona is the reference training center for Europe in educational activities in the area of ocular health.

The Event Coordinator provides professional client services support in the planning, organization and management of events within the facility, and monitoring the logistics of these events, and all event coordination tasks after events are booked through the conclusion.


In this role, a typical day will include:

  • General Support to Local Education Program from Key Opinion Leaders management; Support, Logistics, Communication
  • Alcon Experience Center administrative and logistics management; Contracts, Approvals and Overall Logistics Related to Educational Programs
  • Communication and

Professional Relationship Management:
Identification of new professionals, projects, and opportunities for collaboration, working closely with Compliance, Legal, Medical and Regulatory Departments to assure correct development of educational programs and developing Communication Strategies- Event coordination; third party supplier management (Travelling Agencies, Catering Companies, manage event calendars)- Data collection & analysis of feedback forms and report generation


WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Advanced English and Spanish (written and spoken)
  • Bachelor ́s Degree in Biomedical, Pharma, Education, Events or Tourism
  • Excellent communication skills; able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organized and detailoriented skills
  • High emotional intelligence, inclusive, with open mind
  • Excellent data management and data analysis skills
  • Proactive and creative person able to work independently
  • Digital & Technology Savvy (Microsoft teams, outlook, social media )
  • Similar experience in event coordination would be an advantage
