We are now recruiting a
Polymer Process Technology Manager_ _who combines strong Polymer reaction functional knowledge, process safety and leadership skills to develop, deploy and maintain technology & engineering standards, along with best practice knowledge and expertise related to our water based Latex and solvent based Resin process technology and engineering areas.


This position has a
preferred location in Spain (Barcelona region) but consideration could be given to location on other AkzoNobel Polymer manufacturing sites.


Process Technology Manager - The role:

  • Provide Polymer process engineering and technology expertise to support the project teams on large and/or process safety critical capital projects, of which several are planned
  • Engage regional & site stakeholders in creation, validation & cascading of operations centric standards
  • Provide process technology & engineering leadership for the Global Process Engineering & Technology network for Polymer manufacture
  • Provide technology expertise to strategically important quality problems and/or new product introductions
  • Develop & communicate Best Practice
  • Drive the Continuous Improvement of established standards
  • Collaborate with key suppliers to deliver process improvement, innovation & cost reductions

Process Technology Manager - About you:

  • Degree in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant experience
- +10 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing or technical manager and/or operations management role in Polymer manufacture

  • Extensive Polymer functional and Process safety knowledge
  • Data driven, continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience of project planning and execution in an international environment
  • Good at coaching & mentoring
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Enjoys a collaborative working environment where supporting colleagues is key
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
