As Senior Thermal Power Plant Planner, you will be an integral part of a large multidisciplinary, multi-skilled team of engineers working on thermal power generation projects worldwide.

The clients and projects can be located anywhere in the world, so the role is challenging and interesting.

Our work is varied in its nature and the role will primarily include Feasibility Studies, Owner's Engineering (technical specifications, tenders' evaluations, design review, construction supervision, project management), Detailed Design, Technical and Advisory for investors, developers and EPC Contractors.

International travel will be a part of the role, including site visits and client meetings. There will be opportunities for short-term and long-term assignments.


The senior planner will provide planning and management control in the delivery of Owner's Engineer, Lenders Engineer and Detail Design roles on large scale thermal power generation projects, evaluation of contractual claims.

Senior Planer will support the project managers to deliver services on time and to budget and support the business development WIN team.

We are looking for a motivated person with a genuine passion for excellence and client relationships, with the following attributes:


  • Certificates of Proficiency:
  • Microsoft Project;
  • Primavera P6;
  • Experience in:
  • Construction sequences, durations and critical paths for CCGT thermal Power plants;
  • Creating planning networks for large thermal power plants;
  • Management control and reporting for detailed design services;
  • Master deliverables schedule and resource programming for detailed design;
  • Owner's Engineer consultancy services;
  • Progress monitoring of EPC project implementation;
  • Tendering;
  • Risk management;
  • MSc or BSc in Project Management (construction, engineering or other relevant);
  • Professional experience in the power generation industry, ideally with a mix of EPC contractor, OEM, and consultancy background;
  • Experience of project development, procurement, construction, standard contract forms;
  • Outgoing and proactive, with the ability to work independently and with large teams;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and attention to detail;
  • Fluent in English.

  • Fluency in Italian, additional language(s) desirable (French, Spanish or Portuguese).
  • Support project managers to efficiently deliver the project works;
  • Input at tender clarification, contract award, Kick Off meetings;
  • Support Account leaders in business development and tendering;
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals and/or cost estimates for energy projects;
  • Develop detailed master deliverable schedules and resource plans for detailed design projects;
  • Regularly track project progress, update schedules, liaise with the Project Manager and discipline leads of potential issues;
  • Chair planning meetings;
  • Attend project sites to evaluate progress against plan;
  • Ability to work on international projects and understand and manage country and regionspecific factors;
  • Evaluate claims for extension of time and additional costs as such relates to project contract schedule;
  • Flexibility to travel internationally;
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients #LI-AB2
