    Mission:

    The Technical Pre-Sales Consultant will deliver technical consultancy and pre-sales activities while transferring technical and product knowledge to customers via good written, verbal and presentation skills. The successful candidate will assist in all levels of technical account planning and accompany Sales Account Managers on customer meetings.

    Working with the Toshiba Sales Team, your responsibilities will be varied and include technical input to formal written sales proposals, tender responses and the ability to present and differentiate product offerings at a technical level from the competition, aimed at promoting the (further) integration of the Toshiba ICT products in the business and work processes of the existing customers and prospects.

    Bearing functional and conceptual responsibility for the solution to the customer/prospect, the ideal candidate will have experience in providing Technical Consultancy Services in a retail environment covering POS hardware & software solutions. Experience in cloud-based technologies would be advantageous.

    Workplace:

    Hybrid - Madrid office and homebased - travel to customer sites as required.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise customers on work processes and product choices.
  • Advise and inform external customers and the internal organisation about the functional operation of Toshiba products and solutions.
  • Promote and guide the integration of Toshiba ICT products into the customer's environment.
  • Translate customer requirements into workable solutions.
  • Support Sales teams at external and internal customer facing events with technical pre-sales assistance.
  • Design and deliver compelling Proof of Concepts (POC) in conjunction with the Professional Services Team.
  • Compare competitive products to specify the most advantageous solutions for customers.
  • Deliver product presentations and demonstrations at all technical and business levels.
  • Take a leading role in specifying technical solutions and assist with technical content within proposals and tender responses.
  • Keep abreast of retail market trends including product and competitor landscapes.

    What you will bring to the team:

    Essential:

  • Proven Technical Pre-Sales Experience
  • Excellent written and presentation skills, able to demonstrate Toshiba solutions effectively to audiences of varied technical knowledge.
  • Proposal and Tender writing experience
  • Ability to explain and present technical solutions at all levels
  • Full drivers' license and willingness to travel
  • Desirable:

  • Background in Retail POS Hardware and application
  • Qualifications/experience in the following technologies
    • Cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS)
    • Microsoft, Linux O/S
    • POS driver stack (OPOS/JAVAPOS)
    • Microservices Architecture
