Job Description:


This role will work to ensure that the company function in a legal and ethical manner that is true to its mission and core values by maintaining high levels of business integrity and compliant ways of working.

Key Responsibilities


Canada:

  • Support daytoday legal and compliance matters across all business units (prescription (Rx and OTC), aesthetics (Ax) and consumer (Cx)) and enabling functions.
  • Facilitate training and providing advice with regards to corporate policies, codes of conduct, and applicable rules and regulations including promotional compliance, data privacy, requirements, trade sanctions, transparency reporting, third party due diligence, ABAC compliance.
  • Provide advice on laws, regulations and guidelines applicable to the pharmaceutical, aesthetic and consumer industries with a focus on the commercialisation of medicines, medical devices and cosmetics.
  • Navigate grey areas and effective education on and raising awareness of legal and compliance boundaries within an evolving legal and regulatory framework and growing business.
  • Operate as a Data Privacy Advocate in Canada for Galderma's Data Privacy Program.
  • Draft and/or review various settlements, including consultancy, advisory boards, wholesaler and distributor arrangements, procurement of goods/services, collaborations, and grants/sponsorships;
  • Support procurement activities including vendor assessment and Request for Proposal (RFP) activity.
  • Direct risk management review of promotional, educational, marketing, and company disclosure materials to be disseminated locally.
  • Management of external counsel engagements


EMEAC Rx and OTC Legal Counsel- Provide day-to-day legal and compliance support and guidance to internal stakeholders, including commercial, medical, and cross-functional departments in the Therapeutic Dermatology area (including prescription and OTC products).- Assist in contract review and negotiation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.- Provide legal and compliance advice on various international congresses and events-related matters.- Provide legal advice on antitrust compliance matters and enhance antitrust compliance awareness within Galderma.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified to practice law in Canada or in a major EU country.
  • Effective background of (legal) professional related workexperience on the Canadian market and prescription drugs (Rx) and OTC.
  • Excellent management and management people development focus
  • Strong commercial mindset and pragmatic business acumen
  • Strong analytical skills.
