Report to

Functions and responsibilities

Build finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.

Implement and lead projects to push for constant improvement within the organisation.
Lead the finance team (2 people).

Develop organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; analysing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement.

Monitor financial performance by measuring and analysing results through efficient KPIs & targets.
Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including recommendations


Support:

month-end and year-end close processes, financial planning and forecasting processes and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting, credit control processes.

Optimize the management of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance the Company's cash position on a broad overall basis and manage cash flow investment risk and yields.

Owner of risk management and establish/ monitor mitigating actions.

Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization including group guidelines, by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Company.

Ensure legal compliance.

Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile; monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.

Participate in the due diligence for possible new acquisitions.

Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors; manage preparation and support of all internal and external audits.

Recruit and Onboard new hires Conduct performance management and provide feedback Manage Payroll and benefits for employees.

Experience
Experience of at least 5 years in Finance, and at least 3 years in Human Resources.
Experience in retail/consumer product company is a plus.
Experience in both small and large companies is highly valued.
Experience in supporting businesses to keep the right level of profitability & to develop new sources of growth.
Working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues.
Knowledge of financial and tax law, risk management practices, accounting principles, data analysis and forecasting methods.
Training

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or relevant experience.
CPA or MBA preferred but not required.

Languages
Working proficiency in Spanish and English.
