About the role:


The HR Consultant will manage the cooperation with local Social Partners (works council/union matters), HR and payroll related administration in cooperation with the HR Shared Service Center and the Payroll department.

He/She will provide expertise and guidance to employees in
Spain and
Portugal and local managers so as remote managers that have employees in Spain and Portugal to achieve operational objectives and goals.

This will include serving as an internal consultant to staff to resolve a variety of work related issues; clarifying, interpreting and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.


Main Tasks:
Deliver HR services in compliance with local regulations and according to HR and business needs:
Managing relationship with local Works Councils/Union and dealing with issues when they occur throughout our organisation

Deliver local HR Services that require proximity to employees and managers that is advisory in nature and that strategically integrate effective HR processes, programs and practices into their daily operations

Support actions associated with and/or directed by Global HR or business projects, program, and policies

Respond to any internal or external HR audit, survey or reports

Local customization of Corporate or local program / policies / projects as necessary, articulating implications and assisting with interpretation pertaining to related government laws and regulations through effective communications

Support, advise and partner with employees and managers in all HR matters within the assigned area of responsibilities:
Provide reactive and proactive assistance, guidance, feedback and recommendations to employees

Provide local advisory support to employees and managers, as an employee advocate in a variety of situations and through active coaching and counseling of managers in resolving employee relations issues and development of performance improvement plans

Provide HR advice, insight and support to the HR community & other support functions (HRBPs, HR Core Services, General Services, Finance, Legal)

May act as a point of contact for a given HR domain

Perform information and data gathering for salary benchmarks and employment compensation packages

Familiarize with the companies crisis management processes and measures (People Crisis & Emergency Preparedness Toolkit (PCEPT)

Support appropriate communication of HR programs and initiatives to employees, management and local committees

Ensure timely delivery of HR related information to the appropriate audiences, utilizing our HR portal iris as a venue to communicate company-wide program or local initiatives with employees and managers

Facilitation of local induction programs including specific communications and support for new joiners


About you:

Qualification & Experience

Diploma in HR or equivalent relevant work experience as HR generalist in an international environment and matrix organization

English and local language mandatory

Strong command in PC & office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and good knowledge of People SoftRIS

HR is responsible for delivering a common portfolio of global employee service and programs at a local level to employees and line managers.
