We are currently looking for a Java Developer with experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) to join a Cybersecurity Academy program supporting a major European financial institution.

This is a mid-senior opportunity for professionals who are passionate about secure backend development and eager to work on complex, security-driven systems within a highly regulated environment.

Your Role

You will design, develop, and maintain secure backend services in Java (Spring Boot) that support an enterprise identity platform. Working closely with IAM specialists and software engineers, you will contribute to authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle integrations across critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Implement authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML)
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with IAM teams (SailPoint, ForgeRock, internal tools)
• Apply secure coding standards and cybersecurity best practices
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and production troubleshooting

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Java backend development
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices
• Solid understanding of IAM concepts (authentication, authorization, provisioning, federation)
• Experience with OAuth2, SAML, or OpenID Connect
• Familiarity with LDAP, Active Directory, or IAM platforms
• Exposure to cloud or DevOps environments (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)
• English working proficiency required (Spanish is a plus)

Nice to Have

• Experience with ForgeRock, SailPoint, or enterprise IAM solutions
• Docker / Kubernetes knowledge
• Background in banking or regulated industries
• Knowledge of secure API design and vulnerability management
