Company Description

This position is Field Based and will be located in Spain, around the Barcelona region.

The role holder will need to be prepared to travel at short notice and will need a full, clean local driving license.

Job Description:

Provide on-site support for the Instron product range, including, but not limited to installation,calibration, maintenance, training, emergency support and other after sales and warranty services within the area specified by Service Business Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

Proactively look for leads for new machines, accessories and other services.
Be familiar with the company's product life cycle in order to be able to advise customers regarding obsolescence.
Report on competitive equipment and activities at customer sites.
Ensure that adequate preparation and planning is made before each visit so that the job is completed correctly without the need for further follow up visits.
Ensure that planning for visits including travel is carried out in the most costefficient way.
Deliver basic Instron software training to customers, when required.
Maintain service spares stock at an economical operational level for the area.
Responsible for quality of own work.
Ensure all administration is accurate and up to date, to the latest company requirements using the tools provided.
Submission of expenses and other paperwork within the required timeframe.
Contribute to the company's efforts to improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs and improve quality using the ITW Toolbox and other processes as required.
Perform other ad hoc duties as may from time to time be requested.

Qualifications:

HNC or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
Ability to pick up technical training, processes and systems quickly
Good working knowledge and faultfinding experience with both electromechanical and servo hydraulic systems
Ability to safely calibrate competitor systems
Basic awareness of costs and own impact on margin
Flexible, resilient, open minded
Computer literate
Well organized with good time management skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Fluency, both verbal and written, in Swedish and English
Excellent interpersonal skills
Team player.
Customer oriented.
Ability to travel at short notice.
Selfstarter: be proactive and able to work with minimum supervision

Previous field-based experience would be advantageous
