Department Description


The Group's corporate financial controlling unit, or 'Group Control', performs a wide range of activities such as business performance analytics, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting as well as cost control and transfer pricing across a broad international footprint of over 50 countries.

Alongside daily activities, Group controllers also participate in all finance and control related projects as well as strategic initiatives within the group and reporting to shareholders.

Functioning as a highly effective bridge between business operations and finance across the group, the team is uniquely positioned to have the broadest field of view possible on business operations and financial performance, making it a privileged placement for development within the organisation.


The role of Senior Controller Cost Control and TPCA is focused on executing month closing and planification / budgeting processes in the expenses and transfer pricing area, providing a deep analysis of the results and creating cost awareness in all the units/countries in the company, ensuring also compliance with financial standards and Tax authorities and with a continous improvement mindset to gain efficiencies.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) located at the Atradius headquarters in Madrid.


In this position your key responsibilities will be:

  • Execute expenses month closing process on time and on quality.
  • Cost and TPCA analysis, both for IFRS4 and IFRS17 standards.
  • Develop actions to increase cost awareness and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain Tagetik, our expenses software.
  • Participate in long term plan and budgeting processes, on expenses side.
  • Continuous improvement of processes to gain efficiencies.

Required qualifications:


  • Bachelor in Business Administration, Economy or similar.
  • 34 years experience in a similar position. Previous experience in Transfer Pricing is also a plus.
  • English C1 level.
  • Spanish C1 level.
  • Flexible attitude towards ad hoc requests of senior management and the ability to cope with a complex environment.
  • Strong communication skills are required to deal with colleagues across hierarchies and country borders.
