Project Manager

Internal Strategy Area
VHIR offers a position for a Project Manager to join the Internal Strategy/Scientific Coordination Area to support the
implementation and development of the new Scientific Structure, including
Research Areas (Connected to Hospital Specialities) and

Collaborative Research Spaces (eCOREs), in order to work on main health challenges with the aiming to collaborate to solve them,
be more competitive both at national and international level, promote collaboration and, above all, have an impact-oriented
research, to improve society's well-being.

VHIR is implementing the new Scientific Structure based on
Research Areas that organise more than 60
research groups of the
institute, such as Chronic, Prevalent Diseases & Ageing, Brain, Mind and Behaviour, Cancer, Infectious Acute Disorders,
Transplantation, Child Health and the Technological Transversal Research groups. The research groups also participate in

Collaborative Research Spaces (eCOREs) that will work on strategic institutional priorities, such as: Advanced Therapies &

Immunomodulation, Precision Medicine:
data & imaging, Environmental & Public Health, Rare Diseases and Woman, Health and
Gender and Diversity Perspective.

Required:


  • Master degree (in Health Sciences preferred but not limited to);
  • Previous expertise in biomedical research;
  • High organisational skills.

Experience and knowledge:


Required:


  • Minimum 2year of experience in project management within the biomedical sector.
  • Excellent written and oral communication in Catalan, Spanish and English.
  • Good command of MS Office and other computer tools.
  • Personal skills: Wellorganised, proactive and dynamic, adaptability to change, resultsoriented professional
with close attention to detail and with the ability to prioritise. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and

ability to interact with different hierarchical levels of the organization.***
Main responsibilities and duties:
  • Provide support with the effective implementation, organisation and functioning of the new scientific structure
including Research Areas and eCOREs;

  • Work on the identification of the expertise within the Institution and elaborate and maintain a groups' portfolio
and promote visibility of the research areas to boost VHIR brand;

  • Support strategic institutional priorities in which the Internal Strategy Area is involved;
  • Interact with VHIR Principal Investigators and research groups when needed for the analysis, design and
implementation of the initiatives;

  • Collaborate with other support units from VHIR to ensure the proper implementation of the initiatives
  • Boost internal and external collaborative research and promote and organise joint initiative
