At G+D Mobile Security, the world leader in secure telecommunications systems via SIM / eSIM, we are looking for an IT System Administrator.

The IT System Administrator job is a technical job to manage day-to-day operations in cloud/data centers, primarily in regards to setup, configuration, and operations of virtualization layer, hardware, firewall, proxy, load balancers, IDS, and operating systems.

IT System Administrator works closely with Design Architects, Service Design Specialists, Application Engineers and Second Level Support Engineers in Professional Services and can have expertise/focus areas towards the network.

IT System Administrators help in handling service requests, change, incident, and in problem management. IT System Administrators have responsibility for the operations of the virtualization layer, hardware, firewall, and operating systems.

In addition, IT System Administrators manage both physical and logical access to configuration items and help in documenting cloud and data center routines.

Important skills for IT System Administrators are advanced technical and IT Stack knowledge of services provided by Professional Services, as well as service management knowledge.

More specifically, knowledge of virtualization (VMware), operating systems (Linux and MS), hardware configuration and installation, and complex software/infrastructure solutions are required.

General Responsibilities
Identify improvements in setup, capacity expansion etc.
Perform health checks and maintenance of infrastructure
Support Cloud & DC Manager with information to be used in capacity planning
Inform Regional Head Service Delivery & Operations and Global Resource Coordinator when unplanned work will impact planned work
Maintain CMDB and knowledge base in accordance with processes and tools provided
Participate in internal (e.g. cloud, automation, cloud/datacenter optimization) and customer projects
Provide technical input to Customer Service Manager in regards to incident and problem report creation
Collaborate with Database Engineers when support is needed in regards to database topics during projects and operations
Provide input to Test Engineers for enhancements of existing procedures
Provide input to compliance and informations security related reports requested from Information Security Manager and Service Quality Manager
Provide input regarding future and continuous needs in regards to new investments to maintain existing and future services to Cloud & DC Manager and Regional Head Service Delivery & Operations
Manage time in accordance with planned and assigned activities to ensure accuracy and quality in planning
Follow Professional Services global policies, procedures and tools
Meet compliance and information security requirements in Service Operations
Evaluate, improve and add applicable work instructions
Identify and address day to day continuous improvement activities towards Regional Service Quality Manager and/or supervisor for further actions, related to tools, procedures and compliance fulfilment
Timely and accurate time reporting
General knowledge and skills
Technical skillset in the IT Stack area
Understanding of databases
Knowledge in virtualization (VMware)
Knowledge in operating systems (Linux and MS)
Knowledge in hardware configuration and installation
Knowledge of complex software/infrastructure solutions
Knowledge of relevant market technologies in secure environments
Service specific knowledge related to payment, telecommunication and OEM solutions
Knowledge of ITIL processes and Service Management
Fluent english
