    Business Contribution:

    The Site Leader is responsible for ensuring and improving the safety performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of the on-site departmental and organizational operations.

    The Site Manager Larzep manages the employees located at the Mallabia site in the day-to-day routine. He works closely with the functional managers of: Purchasing, Warehouse, Assembly and machining. Next to that he will have a strong Operational focus with a hands-on attitude and is customer driven. The Site Manager ensures the Actuant LEAD and safety programs are embedded in every part of the organization. In this role multiple customers, internal and external, will be served from the location. The Site Manager will report to the Director Operations.

    The Site Manager manages the on-site employees with a hands-on attitude.

    Essentials Functions:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Plans, directs, and executes company strategy by prioritizing improvement within the operations of the manufacturing/assembly plant, repair center/workshop and/or operational facility through the provision of LEAN methods and strategies, utilizing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to make decisions based on factual data obtained through KPI trending information.
  • Leads and maintains a process-focused safety culture, which drives continuous improvement to include safety improvements, cost and cycle-time reductions and improved product availability/quality while maintaining a safe and productive working environment for all employees.
  • Ensures that the facility operates effectively and efficiently for the various team members and businesses that work from the site. Responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the facility and is the 'go-to person' for site specific issues and questions. Overall responsibility for facility compliance including health regulations and reporting, emergency response, environmental regulations, and reporting.
  • Utilizes LEAN tools and activities as the method of determining what process changes are needed to identify and eliminate non-value-added activity to enhance value to the customer.
  • Reviews production orders and backlog schedules to ascertain product data, such as families/sizes, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery schedules to manage and lead system improvements.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum time and cost preventing operational delays.
  • Collaborates with other areas and teams within the company, focusing on customer satisfaction and maintaining goodwill.
  • Takes the lead in promoting a culture that identifies process bottlenecks and areas of downtime, which could adversely impact customer satisfaction. Actively responds with positive actions to solve problems utilizing 8D problem solving techniques.
  • Coordinates plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develops and controls profits, plans, and budget.
  • Implements cost effective systems to manage capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries and general manufacturing expenses.
  • Controls and minimizes labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses. Maintains existing plant facilities and equipment; replaces or adjusts plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Provides for and delivers a centralized site-wide communication process and ensures that all visual communication materials are kept up to date; Proactively communicates issues or concerns to off-site department and business leaders.
  • Responsible for the coordination of all employee relations plans including calendar, celebrations, Holiday schedules, and community relations plans.
  • Responsible for directing and planning essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling.
  • Responsible for planning best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings or re-organizing current premises.
  • Ensures all HSEQ rules and regulations are communicated and enforced throughout the Organization. Proactively participates in safety awareness and improvement.
  • Represents the Company in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally. Follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures. Being an ambassador for businesses in particular ensure that Health & Safety comes first at all times.
  • Responsibility for turnover and margin for sales from the location
  • Report deviation of the figures on a regular basis
  • Future promoting the usage of the Actuant ERP system constantly and leads by example.
  • Has the enthusiasm and drive to implement LEAD (continuous improvement program) tools into the organization. Leads, motivates and coaches the other members of the team and increases productivity.

  • Participating in the definition of – and implementation of – the total Business Strategy as it applies to the respective region of responsibility.
  • Supervises all local manufacturing and subcontracting, secures the processes and procedures around it
  • Required Capabilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • 5-7 years management experience in leading a Lean culture in a manufacturing industrial environment.
  • Strong affinity with Mechanical Engineering environment
  • Analytical strong (assessment is part of the recruitment procedure)
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and have good interpersonal skills. Strong communication
