About the Position :

As a Web Hosting Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining web hosting solutions that address our clients' business requirements.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of our hosting platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, multi-cloud exposure, cloud native services, expertise in web hosting technologies, and a passion for delivering best-in-class hosting solutions.

Key Responsibilities :
Design, deploy, and maintain high-performance web hosting platforms to support our business' websites and applications.
Experience in managing hybrid web platform- on-premises and cloud.
Implement and manage load balancing, caching, and content delivery solutions to enhance website performance and scalability.
Evaluate the scope of improvement, prepare plan of action and implementation.
Monitor and analyze hosting infrastructure performance metrics to identify and address potential issues proactively.
Troubleshoot and resolve hosting-related issues, including web server crashes, network outages, and security incidents.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and security.

Implement security measures to protect hosting infrastructure and customer data, including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems, and SSL certificates.

Automate routine tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in web hosting, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
Focused on cost optimization through implementation of serverless computing, PaaS solution and automation.

Experience :
Candidate should have strong experience in IT lifecycle management.
Multi Cloud services and infrastructure management.
PaaS solutioning for web application.
Knowledge in Agile methodology / framework, usage of Jira as a tool.
Hands on experience in DevOps tools. Foundational knowledge about Networking, DNS, Databases, Storage and Access Control.
Proficiency in IAC software tools.
Experience in web infrastructure administration.

Technical Skill :
Traditional Web Server administration (JBoss EAP, Apache HTTPD, Apache / Tomcat, IIS.NET, WebLogic, WebSphere, Log4j, etc)
Cloud Web Hosting Solutions (Azure App Service, Static App, AWS S3 Static Hosting, etc)
Containerized Solutions (Docker, Openshift, AKS, EKS, Kubernetes)
Cloud native services to support intranet and internet applications.
Strong understanding on cloud network and access management.
Applications frameworks like Java, .NET or PHP.

Scripting language :
Python

Python
PowerShell
Bash / Shell
GitHub teams, repository, workflow management.
Experience in working with Terraform, terragunt for IAC.
Automation with Ansible.
Artifactory management- Jfrog

Compliance mindset :
Sox, GxP, FDA

Security management

Education :
Computer science degree or similar and preferable master's degree
Fluent English skills (verbal and written)
