The Supervisor of Cancer Rehabilitation Program is responsible for implementing and managing the daily clinical and administrative operations of specialty clinical services or programs, including LCMC Health's Cancer Rehabilitation Program. Develops and maintains a strong referral base for programs by establishing positive relationships with referral sources and their office staff. Serves as a liaison between physicians, administration, clinicians and other staff for the successful development and implementation of program components. Is able to maintain a small caseload of patients germane to their therapy discipline.

    Your Everyday

    • Maintain knowledge of and guide rehab therapy practices and departmental operations.
    • Evaluate the quality of physical therapy sessions and programs that are provided to the patients.
    • Monitor and guide rehab therapists and other assigned staff in the area(s) of clinical expertise .
    • Ensure staff follow regulatory compliance requirements and standard procedures.
    • Monitor staff performance and conduct continuing education courses in rehab therapy and related clinical specialty areas.
    • Perform training demonstrations for the staff if needed.
    • Attend clinical pathways and/or interdisciplinary meetings when required .

    The Must-Haves

    Minimum:
    • Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy license in the state of Louisiana.
    • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
    • 3 years of PT, OT or SLP experience .
