Job Description:
As Senior Manager for the Carrier Management team in Europe, you will manage the evolution and improvement of transport on key strategical pillars: Sustainability, Digitalization, Customer Experience, and International Transport management, while boosting and leveraging collaboration with other departments and transport suppliers.
Some of the main accountabilities of this role are:
- Exceeding customer expectations through the research and development of value-added transportation technical and digital solutions
- Develop direct reports and support building capabilities and expertise of Carrier Management team
- Develop and coordinate implementation of transportation Projects for Europe
- Innovate and introduce best-in-class transportation solutions
- Communicate and work effectively with all levels of the business in a matrix managed organization
- Budget responsibilities on Container and International Transport
- Achieve our Transport Decarbonization targets across Europe through designing and implementing projects with transport partner and further development in line with our Regional Carrier Managers
- A Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Integrated Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required
- MBA/Masters is desired.
- Additional certifications such as Six-sigma, Project management or Scrum master certification is highly beneficial
- 5 years of experience in Project and Change Management
- 3 years of experience in managing team of qualified managers in a transformation environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in scouting, selecting and implementing new technologies and digital solution for Transport
- Experience in implementation of successful sustainability solutions and projects
- Proven track record of success in improvement and innovation projects
- Experience in the successful development and implementation of transportation solutions for customers, shipper, carrier, or 3PL
- Strong analytical abilities
Languages:
English fluency is essential for this role
Any other EU languages would be highly evaluated
