- Participate in technical discussions on radiation effects with customers.
- Perform technical analysis and prepare test plans Total Ionizing Dose (TID), Single Event Effects (SEE) and Displacement Damage (DD) testing.
- Collaborate internally to provide technical support, resource management, planning and cost assessment for radiation test campaigns.
- Supervision and liaison of internal radiation test facility.
- Create radiation test automation programs and develop electronic setups for radiation test implementation.
- Execute radiation test campaigns and lead trips to external radiation test facility.
- Provide support to radiation technicians during the testing process.
- Review radiation test results and prepare test reports.
- Prepare and present publications at radiation conferences (NSREC, RADECS and others).
- Evaluation of technical and management improvement plans to increase the productivity of radiation services.
- BSc or MSc in electrical engineering or physics with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the radiation effects field.
- Significant experience in electronic components characterization engineering (analog, digital and mixed signal) and testing.
- Experience on electronics radiation test campaigns.
- Hands on working experience with laboratory test equipment.
- An understanding of the use of data acquisition programs, data analytic programs and others.
- Worked in radiation test facilities such as at UCL, KVI and others.
- Computational experience in programming languages and GUI design: python, C#, VB or others.
- Experience developing tests for microprocessors, ASICs, or FPGAs.
- Strong organizational skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) is essential. Other languages skills will be an asset.
- Self-driven learner, motivated and proactive attitude.
- Experienced in working in multidisciplinary environment.
- Solving Problems: Identifying, defining and assessing problems, acting to address them.

OVERVIEW:
The Parts Laboratory at ALTER TECHNOLOGY covers a very wide range of activities oriented to provide confidence for the use of electronic components in space and other high reliability applications. The services offered varies from receiving inspection to complete evaluation and qualification of IC's.
Integrated into the Electrical Test Laboratory, the Radiation Engineer will be in charge of radiation testing of electronic components. For this purpose, the engineer will be held responsible of the radiation campaigns.
