Global Digital Services is supporting BASF business in Digitalization transformation. The Digital Hub Madrid is one of our global key locations to deliver regional and global solutions for BASF.

    • In your role as Senior DevOps Engineer for Supply Chain Planning, you will develop and support (DevOps) our supply chain planning systems.
    • Start a training path to fully embrace BASF and our existing and new planning technology like SAP S/4
    • Work in an agile way within a virtual global team, learning by doing and shadowing colleagues.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Act as a Global / Regional expert of our global BASF digital supply chain team, supporting BASF digital ambitions. Helping our global digital service team to identify, execute and implement customer-centric digital solutions in an actionable and measurable way.
    • Collaborate with colleagues in a self-organized way, quickly buildup knowledge on BASF specific supply chain planning processes.
    • Deep dive into the supply chain planning environment with a focus on Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling
    • Your daily routine will start with a virtual stand-up meeting followed by typical tasks like:
      • Understand and refine requirements of user stories.
      • Develop in SAP ABAP using Eclipse, AzureDevOps, GitHub.
      • Conduct pair programming and code review sessions.
      • Use state of the art technologies for object-oriented development, automated testing, documenting and deployment.
      • Present the new features in sprint review meetings to BASF internal customers.
      • Educate yourself in upcoming technologies.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain management, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain planning with good understanding of a planning system like S/4 ePP/DS, SAP APO, SAP IBP, OMP, O9, Oracle or others.
    • Excellent communication skills in English.
    • Detailed process knowledge of supply chain planning at least in one of below area: Demand Planning, Sales and Operational Planning, Supply Planning, Detailed Planning & Scheduling, Production Planning or Manufacturing.
    • Technical affinity and openness to new trends and innovative solutions.
    • Strong collaboration skills with diverse team members spread across the globe.

    NICE TO HAVE

    • Interest in technologies like automation, automated testing, Microsoft Azure Stack, AI.
    • Coding experience in other programming languages like JAVA, C#, SQL, OPAL, Python, Go...
