The Global Commercial Excellence function forms part of GIACE and is the Global BBU function that play a critical role in outlining the capabilities need for future success, secure that these capabilities are developed across the BBU markets/functions, and that owns the assessment of the quality of the execution of these capabilities.


The vision for Global Commercial Excellence is to support our BBU Ambition with a relentless focus on securing pre-launch excellence, future proofing BBU with elevated world class capabilities, and enabling practice change at scale.

Accountabilities & Team Overview
The vision for Marketing excellence within the BBU is to build; "World class Marketers, equipped to deliver


exceptional customer experiences, which change clinical practice, improve outcomes, and drive growth for our brands" and it is the accountability of the Director for Marketing & Digital Excellence to develop a road with aligned capabilities and roll-out plan to make this vision come live.


The Director of Marketing & Digital Excellence will work in a team of 3 that collaboratively and will have a focus on setting process strategic processes and embedding aligned capabilities both in the broader cross functional teams as well as specific capabilities needed among the BBU marketers.


  • Develop and deliver Customer Engagement programme through workshops, webinars and learning platforms. with a focus on content optimisation and technology across target priority markets and global
  • Integrate capabilities into Core Marketing Programmes, Marketer Job Success Profiles and Planning
  • Develops, designs and delivers world class Digital Excellence soft skills in collaboration with HR
  • Systemising & Simplifying planning process via the Planning HUB
  • Minimum of 10 years in Sales and Marketing Pharma roles in country
  • Degree in Marketing or Life Science
  • Global experience
  • Management of P&Ls
  • Understanding and successful experience of working with global stakeholders
  • Experience in large pharmaceutical organisation
  • Proven experience in leading high performing teams
  • Ability to work across geographies and create learning systems with worldwide compatibility.
