As a Senior Security Analyst, you will be and lead part of the Cybersecurity Managed Services (CMS) SOC team in EY GDS Spain, a team with multidisciplinary professionals committed to providing top-notch services to our clients worldwide.

The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Analyst who will be primarily responsible for analyzing and processing SIEM alerts, aside from maintaining constant and direct communication with our client.

You will be leading an international team that will be part of internal and external projects from different countries.

As a lead, you will guide and mentor junior analysts by sharing knowledge and best practices, ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards and elaborate the corresponding reports and documentation.

Your key responsibilities

Monitor and triage security alerts from various sources, including security information and event management (SIEM) systems, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), and endpoint protection systems (EPS).
Escalate security incidents to the appropriate team members for further investigation and resolution.
Conduct preliminary analysis of security incidents, including performing analysis of log data and network traffic, to determine the nature of the incident.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of security incidents and associated actions taken.
Follow established security procedures and policies and provide recommendations for improvements.
Participate in security awareness training for employees and provide guidance on securityrelated issues.
Stay up to date with emerging security threats and trends and make recommendations for improving the security posture of the organization.

Skills attributed for success

Prior experience working with SIEM tools such as Sentinel or Splunk
Excellent analytical, decision making and reporting skills.
Team player attitude.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- +3 years of experience in a security-related/SOC role.

B2 English level.
Good understanding of network and system security principles, including basic knowledge on SIEM, IDPS, and EPS.
Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
Relevant security certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), are a plus.
Readiness for working in rotational shifts 24/7.
