    Shape the Future of Cancer Care with IBA in Spain

    IBA, the global leader in proton therapy, is partnering with the Spanish Ministry of Health to install ten state-of-the-art proton therapy systems across Spain in the coming years.

    We're looking for talented technical professionals to join our teams on permanent contracts. You'll be part of a team that will commit to the installation of at least two proton therapy units at different locations.

    Mission

    You play a key role in our mission to treat cancer patients as a Beam Physics Service Engineer. Your responsibilities include beam calibration, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities on the Proton Therapy site.

    In this role, you will be responsible for potentially 2 or 3 installations in a row. A training period is planned before the launch of the first installation.

    The first installation, based in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia), is expected to be completed within 12 months. Our HR team will support you in your relocation to your second location.

    Challenges We Trust You With

    • Participating in the installation of a broad range of IBA equipment and technical tools on the Proton Therapy site with a specific focus on beam-related equipment.
    • Performing the beam-related equipment calibration following procedures.
    • Operating the system to obtain a beam that matches the requirements.
    • Setting and aligning Dosimetry tools.
    • Critically analyzing data to diagnose potential technical issues.
    • Testing and validating the equipment according to the specifications.
    • Troubleshooting the equipment.
    • Ensuring the highest quality of state-of-the-art technologies and services.

    What We Value

    • A Master degree or PhD in Physics or engineering.
    • An experience in High Energy Physics, Particle Accelerators, or Medical Physics is a strong asset.
    • Good knowledge of MS Excel, MATLAB, and Monte-Carlo Simulations.
    • The ability to troubleshoot large system issues.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Spanish is an asset.
