    We are a global technology provider that offers innovative solutions in Payment, Mobile, Data and Identification.

    Our Mobile business unit provides secure connectivity and interoperability for the Telecommunications market through SIM Cards, eSIMs, Subscription Management, iSE.

    We're seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer to join our Research & Development team in Madrid, with a hybrid work model.

    The successful candidate will support the development of embedded firmware OS according to standards and customer specifications.

    Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

    Analysis and design of features

    • Security embedded systems analysis and design

    Implementation of firmware code

    • Firmware implementation for security embedded systems

    Firmware maintenance and development support

    • Firmware maintenance and development support

    Testing of firmware code

    • Testing of firmware code for embedded systems to validate developed features

    Issue analysis

    • Analysis of issues on released products

    Authority and Decision Making

    • Make design and development decisions of functionalities of the embedded firmware OS in alignment with Technical Lead

    Required Knowledge:

    C programming language

    • Beginner level in C (embedded)

    JAVA programming language

    • Beginner level in JAVA

    Embedded HW and SW systems

    • Beginner level skills in embedded HW and SW systems

    Cryptography

    • Beginner level skills in cryptography

    Agile methodologies

    • Familiarity with agile methodologies

    Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, computing Engineering, software, Telecommunications or related field

    Experience

    • Previous experience as a Firmware Engineering or similar role (desired but not required)

    Availability to Travel

    • Availability to travel (not frequent)

    Language proficiency

    • Proficiency in Spanish and good written, reading and spoken English to communicate with our global team

    Additional skills

    • A good level of Chinese is a plus
