Essential Job Functions

  • Help lead the ongoing development of the Regional Delivery Programme Management office in order to enhance execution of best practice project management standards across the Healthcare Industry.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of the health of assigned projects in accordance with the Project and Programme Management Global processes.
  • Support and shape the key Healthcare projects by offering impartial expert guidance and support aimed at enabling delivery of the agreed business outcomes.
  • Identify key project stakeholders and agree with them an appropriate support and assurance regime based on project complexity.
  • Monitor progress for assigned Healthcare projects and programmes of work to understand and track delivery, helping anticipate and proactively resolve risks to delivery and benefit realisation.
  • Coordinate and undertake project reviews and healthchecks to ensure the overall delivery of projects, addressing actions and requirements which arise from these reviews.
  • Contribute to the prioritisation of remedial and mitigating actions identified during ongoing programme health checks.
  • Lead contributor to the production of high quality, action orientated project reporting to Senior Management.
  • Ambassador role, securing the buy in of key stakeholders across Healthcare for the development of the plan and approach and provide guidance and leadership to the wider programme management community.
  • Leading role in the development and implementation of common project, programme and portfolio management standards and associated tools and documentation such as project management system, governance, business cases, benefits lead delivery planning and project management reporting.
  • Use of data and insight to make informed decisions, solve problems and input to operational and strategic plans.
  • Reporting on Delivery Assurance status and progress, making sure tools are fit for purpose and documentation is up to date.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Minimum of 12 years Customer Facing Project Management experience with at least 5 years in the Healthcare Industry.
  • Experience of working with and influencing various levels of management, building relationships and influence multidisciplinary teams across international boundaries.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong relationships with those working within the projects being assured.
  • Ability to lead, make decisions, problem solve and work with teams.
  • Excellent track record in programme and project delivery gained by leading large, complex projects or change programmes across multiple disciplines across international boundaries.
  • Expert in business change and transformation techniques.
  • Experience of project reviews, assurance, and assessments.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent staff management and coaching skills essential to galvanising wider virtual teams and maximising collaboration and effectiveness.
  • Results focused
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and to deal with ambiguity
  • Experience working with project management methodologies including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies including earned value management, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices

  • Experience working with delivery assurance policies, procedures, and principles to ensure compliance
  • Experience working with productivity and methodology tools that increase project efficiency and effectiveness
  • Experience working with administrative processes
  • Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors
  • Experience working with delivery assurance principles and appropriate procedures relevant to area
  • Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Twelve or more years of project management experience
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred
  • Public sector experience in contracting, statutory compliance, enforcement of standards and requirements, and delivery of mission services preferred
