    Key Responsibilities

    1 Lead, plan and manage eMotor sub-system product development activities of development and customer application projects from the concept phase to series production readiness, according to the CAPM, Automotive SPICE and DES development processes. 2 Provide technical support in C0 phase programme opportunities. 3 Under the guidance of the Engineering Programme Manager (EPM) and the Application Engineering Manager, serve as eMotor sub-system technical interface to the customer 4 Manage, documentation and reporting, all the engineering deliverables according to the defined engineering scope. Ensure the generation of developed product specifications. 5 Coordination of requirements, capacities for the development and acceptance test to be carried out. 6 Coordination of prototypes and testing plans according to the development and customer application projects milestones. 7 Initiation and monitoring of cost reduction measures (VA/VE) 8 Regular review, reporting / presentation of the development progress and its results as well as, if necessary, presentation of problem-solving analyses and their proposed solutions internally as well as to the customer. 9 Collaboration in the analysis of customer complaints and in the initiation of corrective measures to avoid future complaints and the resulting measures for product improvement 10 Escalate through the Head of Mechanical Project Manager any issues related to product and process alignment, meeting customer requirements, resources, and priorities conflicts within the eMotor development team etc. 11 Benchmark of competitor products 12 Development results analysis for patentability and support of patent applications.

    Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Completed studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or electrical engineering or comparable degree
  • Ideally 3 years of experience preferably in product development, project management or adjacent functions of eDrive systems. Experience in project organization of heterogenous teams
  • Product knowledge and manufacturing process experience on electrical machine, ideally also in power electronics
  • Knowledge within relevant development tools and processes like design, CAE, FMEA, testing DVP&R
