In GDI, a Procurement + SCM will be owner and responsible for a group of products from customer demand until the material enters in production process and must assure product availability in full and on time (OTIF) to avoid stock out situation, delay in production planning or over stock.

Will take a leadership role in executing effective and efficient procurement and supply chain services ensuring values and competencies in maintaining transparency, integrity and compliance with established rules and regulations.

Specifically, will perform the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

Manage the entire process in the planning of procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, ensuring effectively-functioning processes using the MRP as main tool.

SAP skills/knowledge, maintenance and correct use is a must.
Ensure effective lines of communication between all departments involved in the operations to ensure priority requirements, timely delivery of goods using the most appropriate procurement procedures
Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers that facilitate smooth flow of services. Forecasting.

Implement effective internal control, proper design and functioning of a client-oriented procurement management system for projects and related reporting requirements.

Ensure effective use of internal Standard Operating Procedures in Procurement and SCM, control of workflows, continuous business processes monitoring and elaboration of improvements in systems and processes
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
Data management in SAP only related to procurement and SCM processes.
Take full responsibility for inventory management of all materials assigned.
Monitor life-cycle/shelf-life of materials.

Education/Experience/Language requirements

Advanced University Degree (Masters Degree or equivalent) in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in the delivery and management of procurement and supply chain services, logistics and stocks management
Mandatory knowledge in SAP - MM module
Fluency in both verbal and written English is essential.
