Advanced Quality Engineer

What can you expect?


You will be part of the Advanced Quality Mechanism team responsible from development through launch and product lifecycle support for market leading mechanisms for multiple customers globally.


The project related to that position, will cover rear seat structure assembly locally in Spain, with mechanisms delivered by different locations within Europe.


As you are part of the European team, you will have supporting colleagues from different organizations within Adient all over Europe.

Members of the Advanced Quality Mechanism team are located in Poland, Hungary, Germany and Spain.


What will your responsibilities be?

  • Provides quality assurance support and refines production methods
  • Support new product implementation from quality assurance side
  • Analyzes data to provide continuous improvements in the supplier's products
  • Develops methods for testing, sampling, and training to ensure required standards are being met.
  • Designs and creates various complex and innovative methods to ensure required standards are met.
  • Coordinates, administers, and performs the quality function of an engineering and technical nature to ensure product quality and reliability at minimum quality costs.
  • Completion and documentation of all phases of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process
  • Prepare and submit all necessary PPAP documentation per AIAG guidelines
  • Develop gauge concepts and procure gauges for specific programs
  • Work with component and tooling/equipment suppliers to improve products and resolvemanufacturing problems. This may involve travel to the specific customer or supplier location
  • Participate in internal audits as required
  • Train Quality and Production personnel in Quality requirements relating to specific programs
  • Support the Product Introduction Process through all phases of prototype fabrication and delivery

Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?

  • Degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering and/or comparable training with a focus on quality management
  • Proved professional experience in quality in the automotive industry
  • Knowledge of the common quality management tools from the automotive industry, e.g. VDA 6.3, APQP, PPAP, 8D Reporting, Poka Yoke, Ishikawa
  • High willingness to travel in Europe Travelling
  • Good knowledge of Spanish and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical skills, as well as independent and goaloriented way of working in an interdisciplinary team
