The role:


  • Distribution Account Manager


Working as part of the EMEA distribution team, the Distribution Account Manager (DAM) manages a portfolio of existing distribution partners and also identifies potential new partners, that will help IMI Norgren to grow pneumatics & electric motion market share in Spain.

The DAM will be part of an established team with a track record of success and will have the opportunity to grow and play a key role, as we build an industry leading distribution network.

The incumbent will be responsible and accountable for all sales activities in the Centre and south of Spain. Preferred location is Madrid (but other options would be considered).


Key Responsibilities:


  • Developing trusting relationships with the existing distribution partners.
  • Implementing business plans with selected distribution partners to ensure growth targets are met.
  • Creating and updating a white space analysis, to ensure distribution network is meeting the needs of the market.
  • Creating and maintaining account development plans for selected distribution partners.
  • Creating and managing a pipeline of sales opportunities using the CRM system.
  • Negotiating an implementing annual price and commercial terms.
  • Providing accurate forecasts and market insights.
  • Ensuring that our distribution partners are managed through the appropriate compliance programme.
  • Undertaking joint customer visits with distributors.
  • Confidently present and sell our Industrial Automation core product range.
  • Ensure distribution partners hold the correct stocks to support their customers.
  • Equip distributors with tools and knowledge, enabling them to proactively sell IMI Norgren product range.

Critical Competencies for Success:


  • Knowledge of pneumatic solutions.
  • Experience of managing distribution partners, delivering sales and margin growth.
  • Ability to build great relationships with key distribution partners.
  • Knowledge of the local Industrial Automation market.
  • Ability to build and deliver business plans through distribution partners.
  • Talent to build and deliver an opportunity pipeline.
  • Conversational English would be recommended.
