    CIDETEC Energy Storage is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Energy Materials Unit.

    This role involves project and people management, including technical task planning, analysis of results, and writing monitoring reports for clients and R&D team leaders.

    We design and develop cells, modules, and battery packs tailored to our customers' needs, with a focus on technology transfer to industry.

    Your contributions will be crucial in our research center, which prioritizes sustainability and the circular economy. We've helped electrify Spain's roads and are now working towards 100% future sustainability.

    You will work on cell assembly process improvements, gaining in-depth knowledge of critical parameters affecting the process.

    Key activities include:

    • Analyzing the assembly process and identifying parameters to optimize it.
    • Determining failure modes of assembled cells and defining corrective actions.
    • Closely communicating with machine suppliers during equipment search and fine-tuning.
    • Elaborating process documentation.

    You will also participate in:

    • Planning technical tasks.
    • Contributing to projects focused on cell assembly.
    • Managing project documentation, including writing reports.

    Requirements:

    • Process engineer, mechanical engineer, mechatronic, or battery engineer degree.
    • High level of written and spoken English.
    • Sound knowledge in manufacturing processes, mechanical setup development, and CAD programming (Solidworks, Autocad, etc.).

    Preferred skills:

    • Technical knowledge on batteries.
    • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
    • Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, optimizing resources and maximizing results.
