Job Description:


As the
Domain Engineering Manager - Customer Data & Marketing, my purpose is to oversee efficient product delivery across multiple, potentially cross-located Product Teams, ensuring alignment with the domain's vision and strategy.

I prioritize adequate staffing, equipped teams, and effective processes to serve our customers and meet business objectives.

Collaborating with the domain leadership team, I drive the domain's vision, strategy, and operational aspects, guiding the product teams towards exceptional results and alignment with the organization's overall goals.


Responsibilties:

Product Vision and Strategy: In collaboration with the Domain Leadership Team, I contribute to defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap of the product domain, representing the perspectives of People, Process, Product and Capacity.

Cross Domain Collaboration & Communication:I ensure close coordination and collaboration between Tech Platform providers, Tech Chapters, and the Development Teams within my domain. I also actively promote cross-domain communication and alignment with D-level effective collaboration.

Budget & Capacity Management: Responsible for managing the Tech budget within my Domain, I acquire and diligently monitor resources to ensure effective allocation. I oversee capacity planning to ensure efficient resource allocation and optimal utilization within the domain.

People Growth: I prioritize the mentorship and growth of engineering managers within my domain, supporting their development and skills enhancement & performance evaluation.

Process Management: As an accountable leader, I foster a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing, nurturing creativity and continuous learning among team members for smooth product delivery operations.


Key Tasks:

Budget planning and monitoring: I meticulously plan and monitor the budget within my domain, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently to support our initiatives.

Handling contracts & communication with External Vendors: I oversee the management of contracts and maintain effective communication with external vendors, ensuring seamless collaboration and successful partnership.

Handle Compliance topics for the Domains As the responsible party for technical compliance within the domains, I prioritize adherence to regulations and guidelines, continuously staying updated to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance.

Communication & Collaboration: Engaging with stakeholders I align strategies and ensure operational security, collaborating with Agile Coaches to support agile practices and continuous improvement. Additionally, I foster effective cross-domain communication, regularly syncing with the D-Team to share updates and align on strategic objectives and initiatives.

Frequent 1-on-1 meetings with Engineering Managers: I assess their performance, offer guidance, and promote their professional growth. Additionally, I conduct regular health checks for the product teams within the domain, ensuring their well-being, addressing challenges, and cultivating a positive and productive work environment.

Handling and managing risks: I proactively identify, assess, and manage risks within the domain, implementing strategies to mitigate potential disruptions and safeguard our operations.

Ensuring Compliance with Tech Guidelines and Standards:I ensure that the teams within the domain follow established tech guidelines and standards, promoting consistency, quality, and alignment with best practices.

Establish and monitor a healthy first level of support process within the domain if needed.

  • I Ensure the establishment and adherence to standardized processes within the domain.

Qualifications:


  • At least 45 years of work experience in the field of customer data management & (digital) marketing,
  • Experience with managing customer data platforms, customer acquisition & retention, marketing activation through e.g. Email marketing, Mobile, SEA, and/or Social channels.
  • You have a passion for designing the ideal digital customer journey and are not afraid to use data for insights and optimization of the journey.
  • You have experience with Marketing Automation Platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, or Adobe Campaign/Experience Cloud.
  • Platform (CDP) for creating customer profiles, segmentations, and CDP activation to design personalized omnichannel customer journeys.
  • Demonstrable experience in using Customer Data
  • Experience with setting up Single Customer View leveraging an API first approach
