  • PhD in an area related with the position duties
  • Experience with ultrafast lasers
  • Experience in nonlinear optics applied to condensed matter
  • Experience with Xray Free Electron Lasers (XFELs)

Selection criteria

_ Indispensable requirements_
- _PhD in an area related with the position duties, preferable in the area of Physics, Laser Physics, Condensed Matter, Nanoscience and science at XFELs_


_Valuables_

  • Experience according to the profile, particularly in ultrafast lasers and laser spectroscopy or nonlinear optics, timeresolved spectroscopic techniques and/or Xray spectroscopy methods applied to condensed matter
  • Personal interview (in English)

Activities to be undertaken

  • Complementary studies with tabletop sources (IR/Vis/UV) using nonlinear optics (especially four wavemixing), pumpprobe methods and MOKE
  • EUV/Xray diffraction and spectroscopy at synchrotrons and XFELs
  • Experimental studies of ultrafast dynamics of condensed matter systems with particular emphasis on novel nanotechnologies employing 2D materials, quantum materials, nanomagnetic systems, semiconductors and materials for light harvesting and efficient energy storage and conversion
