Koppert Sweden
Recently Koppert has acquired the Swedish distributor Lindesro to bring the Scandinavian market closer.


To lead the transformation and build up Koppert Sweden we are searching for a General manager with a background in horticulture and agriculture and with experience in leading teams.

The current team exists out 6 employees focusing on sales & marketing and supply chain.

The General Manager has the opportunity to set up a new organization structure and extending the team with a goal to serve the entire Scandinavian market.


The Role


The
General Manager Koppert Sweden leads the respective subsidiary including marketing, sales, business development, logístical planning, resources, and investment plans.

The General Manager Koppert Sweden will report to the Business Unit Manager SE-Europe.


Position Responsibilities

The General Manager Koppert Sweden:

  • Understands developments in the sales area Scandinavia within the agricultural markets, changes in legislation, changes in customer needs, and the relevant political, technical and economic developments including risk management.
  • Facilitates the commercial conditions to enhance sales volume and profitability of the subsidiary.
  • Strives to satisfy the customers' needs in alignment with Koppert's brand promise.
  • Leads market development operational process (supply & logistics, finance, marketing, customer service, ) and strives for continuous improvement of the business.
  • Leads the activities of the Koppert Sweden team. Evaluates, motivates and manages the team ́s performance and development in line with Koppert's culture and style.
  • Organizes knowledge and capacity from the Koppert headquarters' support departments to enhance the performance of the business.
  • Generates and interprets the subsidiary's data (KPI's) and intervenes as needed when a deviation occurs from expected results.
  • Ensures timely, accurate and complete information about progress and final results in accordance with previously established Financial Reports, KPI's and processes.
  • Provides product plannings according to the established procedures
  • Draws up a financial forecast and budget based on the product plannings and expense forecast, including a cash flow prediction, according to the Koppert Reporting Model.
  • Engages in business development efforts by presenting Koppert to prospects, third parties, management and employees of Koppert Sweden.
  • Develops a yearly business plan and strategic midterm business plan for the subsidiary, according to the corporate vision, strategy and values.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor / Master Agriculture and/ or BA/MA in business Administration.
  • Minimum 3 years sales or management experience, preferably in the agricultural sector. Senior experience is not required.
  • Verbally strong communication skills in Swedish and excellent in English. Other (Scandinavian) languages are an asset.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Ability to connect fluently in an international environment (headquarters and distributors in the region)

Travel - within Scandinavia, to the headquarters in Holland, and occasional other international travel.
