    ¿Qué harás en tu nuevo puesto?

    The Financial Controller is a key position responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations within the sales organisation. This role requires a deep understanding of sales finance, revenue recognition, and financial analysis specific to the business. The Financial Controller plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, optimizing sales performance, and supporting strategic decision-making.

    Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to develop and manage the annual budget, incorporating sales targets, pricing strategies, and revenue projections.
  • Conduct financial analysis, including sales forecasting, pricing analysis, and customer profitability assessments.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on sales performance, revenue growth opportunities, and cost management strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to drive financial integration and support decision-making.

    Revenue Recognition and Sales Finance:
  • Ensure compliance with revenue recognition principles, recognizing sales and revenue in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606).
  • Monitor and analyse sales data, pricing structures, and discounting policies to ensure accurate and timely recording of sales transactions.
  • Collaboratewith sales operationsand legal teams to review and negotiate customer contracts from a financial perspective.

    Financial Reporting and Compliance:
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements specific to the commercial sales industry, including revenue analysis, sales margin reporting, and sales-related expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IAS, IFRS) and regulatory requirements (e.g., local filings).
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and maintain a robust system of internal controls.

  • Degree in business administration with a focus on finance/controlling or comparable
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the finance controlling, desirably within a matrix organization
  • Spain/Italy/UK-GAAP Knowledge will be needed
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of complex ERP software, preferably JDEdwards (or e.g. SAP), as well as knowledge of a common reporting software (desirable Cognos)
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Good knowledge of English; Italian and Spanish will be a plus
