    Front Desk Manager Role

    The Front Desk Manager is a key member of the shipboard management team. This role requires a dynamic and outgoing demeanor, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

    This position strives to exceed hospitality industry standards by ensuring complete guest satisfaction and promoting a positive working environment.

    The Front Desk Manager leads by example and drives operational goals focused on training, leadership, development, and recognizing overall team performance.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage a dynamic, diverse guest services operation.
    • Navigate through changing work environments while maintaining a positive attitude.
    • Utilize progressive disciplinary action processes to improve performance where possible.
    • Work cooperatively in a diverse team environment to meet established timeframes.
    • Consider fleet-wide operational business needs and adapt placement accordingly.

    Qualifications

    To be successful as a Front Desk Manager, candidates should possess:

    • Minimum one year front-of-house supervisory experience in a hotel, cruise line, or hospitality industry related field.
    • Effective communication and problem-resolution skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly.
    • Knowledge of customer service principles, including needs assessment, problem resolution, and quality service standards.
    • Ability to work positively and cooperatively in a diverse team environment.
    • Familiarity with computer software packages, such as Microsoft Office.
    • Basic education and vocational training, preferably completion of high school.
    • Working knowledge of US cash handling procedures and foreign exchange.
