Role Purpose


Lead tax reporting and accounting within the Sandoz Group; provide functional guidance accounting and reporting teams in shared service centers and countries.

Ensure consistency on definition and implementation of policies and procedures.

Sustain effective financial controls and provide high quality, compliant accounting advice and documentation, respecting the internal and external regulatory requirements like Sandoz Accounting Manual, IFRS and Stock Exchange / OECD standards.


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead tax accounting and reporting across Sandoz, through countries and the Global organization; in close coordination with Group Reporting and Accounting
  • Responsible for ETR forecasting and Tax Risk management from a reporting perspective
  • Drive transformation in tax accounting, planning and reporting, shaping and harmonizing processes, master data and systems, working together with Business Units, Divisions, Service Centers, IT, and Financial Controls and Compliance
  • Brief Executives and Senior Management on tax accounting matters acting as the natural deputy for the Head of Group Tax on such matters
  • Provide thought leadership and collaborate within Sandoz, with industry contacts and auditors, to ensure that upcoming tax accounting matter changes and new reporting requirements under IFRS/ OECD are appropriately interpreted and implemented within the financial statements and necessary disclosures.
  • Ensuring that relevant changes are appropriately reflected in internal accounting manuals
  • Role model a leadership style which is inclusive, proactive, respectful, change agile, innovation/creativity and results driven with focus on quality and high integrity.

  • Quality of tax cash and ETR monitoring incl. forecasting accuracy
  • Passion for improving processes and understanding and communicating requirements.
  • Success of projects to transform tax accounting and reporting processes
  • Effective professional communication on tax accounting and reporting matters
