The Position

Our Marine Products Department in Barcelona is looking for a Dispatch Coordinator to join the team

Supplying marine consumables, products, and solutions to every conceivable vessel type, our Marine Products division includes the Unitor brand of products, Timm ropes, Unicool refrigerants, and Unitor and Nalfleet marine chemicals.

Last year we made product deliveries to 27,500 vessels, at over 2,000 ports.

About the Location and the Department

The position will be located at Terrassa office, which is in the Santa Margarita industrial park.

You will join our Terrassa Warehouse Team and you will ensure that all goods presented by the Warehouse Department are delivered by the drivers at the correct address within the limits set, in appropriate condition and together with the correct documents and appropriate cost.

The position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Who You Are

We are looking for an efficient and hard-working dispatch coordinator to ensure that orders from our customers are delivered correctly in an efficient and professional manner.

To be successful as dispatch coordinator you should have a high level of organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to build effective working relationships.

Additionally, you will need to have a good command of Microsoft Office package and a good level of English.

Required Experience and Skills

Transport and Logistics Certificate of Higher Education.
Prior experience as Dispatch Coordinator or similar position in a warehouse.
Good knowledge of an experience within worldwide transportation methods and requirements.
Good knowledge of Dangerous Goods transportation regulations in all transport modes.
In depth familiarity and knowledge of transportation rules and regulations.
Ability to work outside normal business working hours.
Very good command of the English language (spoken and written)
Good computer skills with Excel knowledge.
Ability to communicate effectively within a multinational environment.
Ability to work under pressure and ability to work on own initiative.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

What You Will Be Doing

On an average day you will update all ETA's through consistent monitoring with shipping agents.

You will schedule drivers and monitor the efficiency of the dispatch operations and driver utilization, ensuring compliance to all rules and regulations.

It will be required that you ensure that transport is done in an efficient and cost-effective way in line with demand.

You will be responsible correct document flow, reporting and tracking.

Your duties will include reporting and taking action to ensure professional and timely deliveries.
