Job summary
We are seeking a Director of Datacenter Operations to lead and manage the physical infrastructure of our AIaaS (AI-as-a-Service) datacenters.This position requires deep expertise in datacenter infrastructure management, energy efficiency, sustainability, and high-performance core networks.
You will oversee the Datacenter Construction and Operations teams to drive building out and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Identify and assess new expansion sites.
- Own the safe operation lifecycle of critical infrastructure.
- Oversight deployment operation AI-optimized datacenters covering power distribution cooling networking physical security ensure high availability redundancy SLA compliance mission-critical AI workloads develop maintain scalability plans support growth AI compute demand manage real estate planning new locations expansion maintain strategic relationships colocation providers hardware vendors contractors ensure cost-effective performance infrastructure lead EHS critical operations publish monthly ops reports availability incidents RCA PUE energy vendor SLAs risks leverage DCIM real-time monitoring CMMS PMCMCBMPdM monitor network architectures prevent bottlenecks failures implement advanced DCIM tools real-time monitoring power cooling environmental conditions predictive maintenance automated issue detection develop maintain execute preventive predictive maintenance programs PMCMCMBPdM maximum reliability critical infrastructure implement automated monitoring alerting systems early detection potential failures ensure compliance industry standards ISO27001 SOC21942 Uptime Institute Tier certifications maintain site-level business continuity resilience procedures generator testing electrical failover exercises black-building tests emergency response protocols operational readiness checks optimize CapEx OpEx construction expansion operations negotiate contracts hardware suppliers energy providers colocation partners cost-efficient AI infrastructure implement TCO modeling support strategic investment decisions develop relationships third-party partners supporting datacenter maintenance
