    • Act as the key liaison between the company and the works council in Spain, maintaining effective communication and cooperation through a strong working relationship

    • Collaborate with works council representatives to address and resolve employee concerns

    • The successful candidate will be progressive, hands-on, and customer-obsessed with the credibility and gravitas to succeed in a fast moving and customer-focused high-tech environment

    • Have a track record of working from election to implementation of works councils and managing works councils in highly commercial and demanding environments

    • Have 5+ years of relevant HR/ER experience, ideally within a fast paced get-it-done culture

    • Problem solving and analytical capability; experience of managing ambiguity and analyzing HR metrics to find root causes and develop short, medium and long-term plans

    • Have the ability to develop effective working relationships with employees at all stages from entry level employees to VP level leaders

    • You must have backbone, and be persuasive and resilient

    • You will be used to managing stakeholders in a global environment, and be able to keep them updated with relevant and timely updates, seeking decisions and input in a timely fashion

    • Have emotional intelligence and a proven hands-on attitude, be flexible and adaptable

    • Strong change management, negotiation and influencing skills

    • Experience in the contact center sector will be positively valued

    • Fluent in Spanish and English (Catalan will be a plus)

    DESCRIPTION

You will have Ownership for ensuring that our relationship with our employee representative bodies in Spain are respectful, constructive, and rewarding. Amazon respects the right of our employees to establish and join works councils, and engage in constructive dialogue. You will be providing guidance to the business and HR community when developing and implementing frameworks for our works councils to foster a positive and engaging relationship. You will negotiate the terms of reference of the works councils, taking your instruction from the leadership team, and relaying regular updates to them. You will work closely with senior HR, employment Legal and PR. This position requires an individual who has meaningful employee relations experience and a deep understanding of local Spanish labour legislation. The individual should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as, high emotional intelligence that enables the individual to work successfully on a broad spectrum of employee relations issues. The position will be based in Barcelona, Spain and will provide support to Amazon Corporate Employee Relations. This is a full-time position that could require travel up to 30% of the time over the course of the year.
