Position Summary:


We're on a mission to bring the benefits of our life-changing real-time CGM systems to even more patients in Spain.


Our Market Access team are responsible for understanding and satisfying the market access/funding/reimbursement requirements in Spain developing the adequate contacts and managing stakeholders to increase our winning chances in a tender.


This means:

  • Know the working processes of other functional areas (Marketing, Sales, Records, DM, Finance), developing key contacts within the organization to achieve the necessary support for the best interest of Dexcom.
  • Builds and maintains fluent relationships with the relevant agents of Healthcare sector in Spain to promote and create changes in the attitude of customers towards Dexcom, improving our positioning of and achieving support for the effective sale of our product portfolio.
  • Establishes and maintains tight level relationships in the short / medium / long term, inside and outside the Company to achieve the objectives.
  • Detects business opportunities and proposes concrete actions to translate the opportunity into reality.
  • Knows the specificities, strengths and weaknesses of the competition and structure the value proposition based on our competitive advantages.
  • Knows the characteristics of the Autonomous Communities and the functioning of the Health Administration.
  • Anticipates changes in the environment, preparing to be competitive and to minimize the impact that potential changes may cause.
  • Research and conduct analysis of the target markets in terms of reimbursement and funding, existing and emerging policies, competitive landscape, trends, pricing, contracting strategies, and any potential barriers to provider and patient access.
  • Provide information and support to influence key opinion leaders, pertaining to improved outcomes and public policy matters.

Experience and Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor degree and MBA desirable.
  • Education and experience in a relevant field, Market Access, health policy, public health.
  • Knowledge of market access for diabetes products or related medical devices.
  • Experience with HTA submission in larger European markets would be useful.
  • Business/marketing or sales experience and the ability to link this insight to funding and reimbursement inmarket.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Portuguese as an additional language will be appreciated.
  • Experience of working and contributing within a matrix organization, including global and national MA teams.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience.

Travel Required:


  • 50%.

Language Skills:


  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Portuguese as an additional language will be appreciated.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organisation.
