JOB SUMMARY

As a Marketplace Manager - Product Owner, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, and enhancement of our digital marketplace platform.

Leveraging your expertise in e-commerce, marketplace dynamics, and product management, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive growth, improve user experience, and maximize profitability.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Define longterm vision and roadmap for the marketplace platform.
Conduct market research and analyze user needs to identify opportunities.
Define and prioritize product features based on market trends and user feedback.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate concepts.
Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog.
Provide clear requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure development teams understand deliverables.
Conduct user research and testing to optimize user flows.
Define KPIs and metrics to measure marketplace success.
Monitor performance, user engagement, and revenue metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with vendor management teams to onboard and manage marketplace sellers and partners.
Identify strategic partnerships and integration opportunities to expand platform reach and capabilities.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and partners for mutual success and business goal alignment.
Ensure compliance with regulations, industry standards, and best practices for ecommerce and online marketplaces.
Identify and mitigate risks related to fraud, security, privacy, and legal compliance.
Implement measures to protect platform integrity and user trust.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 years of experience in marketplace/product management, with a proven track record of success in expanding brands into new markets, ecommerce, digital marketplaces...
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field (MBA or equivalent experience preferred).
Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, ecommerce trends, and digital commerce technologies.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies, product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence), and data analytics platforms.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic thinking, problemsolving abilities, and a resultsdriven mindset.
Experience working in crossfunctional teams and leading product development efforts from concept to launch.
Fluency in English and Spanish (or another relevant language for international expansion).
