RESPONSIBILITIES
BASF is expanding the existing Engineering Hub focused in the field of battery materials. You contribute to BASF's future by driving exciting large capital projects.

As a Project Manager, you are the main focal point of responsibility, accountability, and authority for the overall direction of the project.
You are responsible for coordination, monitoring and managing all project related activities and, for managing the interfaces within the project and with the main Stakeholders.
You develop project delivery strategies, coordinate project orders, estimate project costs and pursue project goals while also being responsible for the technical management within the project organization.
Furthermore, you support projectrelated team building and employee development and contribute to the identification as well as preparation of resource requirements.
You actively promote internal partner relationships, prepare projectrelated decisions, conduct as well as evaluate tenders and you ensure a proper project closure including final documentation.
You ensure the proper identification and management of risks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in engineering or any other technical discipline.
Proven experience in delivering projects of €200mn or above successfully, from inception to commercial deployment.
Experience in Project Management and/or Engineering Management for Capital Projects in the chemical, petrochemical, or similar industries.
Thorough understanding of engineering deliverables for large capital projects and multidiscipline projects.
Unique ability to innovate and sell ideas to improve costs, schedule and execution of projects
Prior experience with multinational teams and external engineering partners management
Prior experience in the field of Batteries or Battery Recycling is a plus
Entrepreneurial action, the constant desire to drive innovation and out of the box thinking
Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
English languages are required. Spanish and German language skills are considered a plus.
Willingness to travel frequentlyand for an assignment abroad: Projects Design Phases and/or Execution will take place in different locations in Spain and globally.
