We are currently seeking a highly motivated Projects Coordinator and OEM Sales Engineer to join our team in Torrejón de Ardozn, Madrid.


This is a fixed-term contract position, covering paternity leave, with a focus on supporting sales activities within the Projects and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) markets in Spain and Portugal.

Your responsibilities will encompass project coordination, from initial quotation to product delivery for auxiliary systems orders.

It is imperative that you adhere to all company guidelines, procedures, and ethical standards while effectively promoting our products and services.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accountability for the assigned customer accounts to achieve or exceed plan figures for orders, sales, contributions, and cash conversion into his area of responsibility.
  • Build a high level of technical and commercial knowledge for our products and services in order to effectively promote them and to be able to support the commercial strategy for the customer's portfolio into OEMs & Projects activity for John Crane Ibérica.
  • Build comprehensive quotations and value propositions for the key customers into this business area. Study customer technical specifications and ensure required compliance. Followup and control of orders ongoing to supply customers with information about progress and expected delivery times when requested.
  • Coordination for the different departments involved in contract execution from quotation to product delivery including quotations to customers, quotations from suppliers, checklist for technical datasheets, customers and EPCs technical specs., assembly coordination, commissioning, and witnessed tests in front of the customers.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships in order to maintain and increase our business revenue in line with targets.
  • Comply with all Smiths Group guidelines and requirements related to Code of Ethics, Health and Safety and Environment.

The Individual

  • Previous professional experience in a technical sales role within an engineering manufacturing company. Multinational and multicultural environments will be an advantage.
  • Experience in providing commercial support to EPCs and/or rotating equipment markets is an asset.
  • An engineering background or a similar technical qualification is preferred.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with multifunctional and multinational colleagues.
  • Ready to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
