We're looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Granada, Spain.

In addition, Safran Navigation and Timing has great expertise in Time Sensitive Networking through several engagements carried out in the framework of aerospace with ESA to provide deterministic communications with zero-packet loss.

The Position:

You will work within the Special Project Unit (SPU). This unit aims to pursue technological breakthroughs in close collaboration with customers and international partners.

From ambitious new ideas to customer-driven product customization, the goal of this team is to combine the best of the innovation, deep technological expertise, passion for challenges and a customer-oriented culture to develop the future of the disruptive R-PNT solutions.


As part of SPU, you will start working on a flexible, result-oriented, and highly motivating team, working side by side with other company experts and customers all around the world.

You will assist in the execution, planning, commercial relations and general management of SPU projects and commercial opportunities.

Side by side with other SPU colleagues, you will bring the most efficient project management activities using the latest PMP and PM2 methodologies, work on specific business opportunities offers preparation and contribute to achieve the best customer experience for key customers opportunities.


What you will be doing:


  • You will lead the management of projects that include highly innovative elements, providing the best procedures based on wellknown PMP or PM2 methodologies.
  • You will have the responsibility for gathering and defining project requirements, scope, budget, and temporization in collaboration with other colleagues, partners, and customers.
  • You will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure the successful completion of project deliverables. You will take on the responsibility of regularly updating stakeholders on project progress, clearly communicating any changes, risks, or delays in a transparent and effective manner.
  • You will maintain effective communication with project partners and colleagues throughout the project lifecycle, from initial kickoffs to stakeholder meetings, to ensure the project's success.
  • You will travel to showcase proofs of concepts, participate in workshop or conference talks as well as meeting with customers and partners to contribute with new concepts beyond customer expectations.
  • You will collaborate with other company teams such as Products, Sales or Quality to ensure that our projects are aligned with the company innovation priorities and roadmap, being implemented to maximize the customers satisfaction and future market penetration.
  • You will use your critical thinking and problemsolving skills to ensure the highest quality results in accordance with the schedule, effort, and budget.
  • You will have effective communication with other project partners and colleagues and will be constantly communicating with them from project kickoffs to stakeholder meetings.

What you Bring to Safran:


  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field. Three years of technical experience in any of these fields is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in Project management.
  • Certification or knowledge of PMP and PM2 project methodologies.
  • Capability to develop engineering projects cost estimation, planning, quality, and risk management plans, etc...
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Experience with agile methodologies (SAFe) is a plus.
  • Experience with customer relationship in sales engineering or key account management within Telecommunications, Software, Fintech, or Defense industries, as well as international experience in business and partnership development.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English (C1 level).
  • Ambition to grow and develop personally and professionally. Passion for challenges and technology. Ability to participate in ambitious projects with major international technology leaders.
  • Working autonomy and Tolerance to frustration. Capability to work with open projects with uncertain specifications. Patient and resourceful.
