Electrical Maintenance, Engineer

Mission:


Electrical Maintenance Department has the mission to support the continuous running of electrical Site infrastructure (HV, LV and HVAC) with the use of computerized systems to oversee electrical infrastructure performance, routine maintenance and organize repairs.


Electrical Maintenance engineer works with other professionals in order to improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes.


Job Purpose & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for updating, implementation and followup of Electrical Safety Program, improving electrical health and safety policies and procedures in the maintenance organization.
  • Define, improve and manage the operational and maintenance procedures, strategies and methods for electrical infrastructure.
  • Provide electrical technical support for the site, according to company guidelines, to assure the stability within the plant by reliable function of the electrical equipment and at the lowest possible cost and with the mínimal impact on production.
  • Implement, and manage the electrical maintenance program based on best practices in the industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
  • Monitor the obsolescence of new and inventory of electrical spare parts, electrical supplies, and initiate reordering when necessary.
  • Controlling electrical operations/maintenance tools, shops and equipment.
  • Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
  • Carrying out quality inspections of jobs in the electrical infrastructure.
  • Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plant electrical operations and solving electrical maintenancerelated problems.
  • Track, analyze and improve key maintenance electrical parameters such as OEE, asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
  • Propose & implement electrical design improvements/modifications that improve EHSS, efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
  • Develop and drive implementation of capital projects that support and advance Business and Electrical infrastructure improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinating electrical activities with Plant Operations Departments.
  • Maintaining and updating operating and training manuals for the electrical discipline.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor and/or Master's Degree or Equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent Conceptual, Communication and Analytical Skills
  • Fluency (both written and Oral) in English and Spanish
  • Excellent presentation and network skills
  • Proficiency in IT/various connecting IT systems such as Office, SAP, reporting, etc
  • Experience with working in multi cultural and diverse environment and influencing and engaging at senior management level
  • Experience in a (petro) chemical unit (troubleshooting) and with SAP system is a plus.
  • A dynamic, flexible, structured and enthusiastic personality
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Proven knowledge and experience in electricity, being able to analyze complex technical reliability events.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of maintenance and operations work processes, including planning, execution, cost control and contract management.
  • Strong commitment to the company safety & quality standards.

Additional Desirable:


  • Knowledge in Lean Six Sigma methodology.
  • Knowledge of specific reliability management tools: RCM, RCA
  • Data base management (Access) & business intelligent (Power BI)
  • Project / Engineering: 2 years.
  • ATEX knowledge/background.
  • Electrical Safety knowledge/background.
  • Electrical Protection knowledge.
  • ETAP software.
