B.Sc of Civil Engineering or other Engineering disciplines or Architecture, or Country equivalent.

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Do you like travelling? The role will be based in Europe and will include frequent travel to various locations in EU or within the country you are based at.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee construction engineering, planning, and design for Amazon Fulfillment Centers and other new, buildouts and expansion projects.
  • Support on managing building projects and additional capacity requirements within existing European Fulfillment Centers network.
  • Oversee construction engineering design on new and existing facilities' projects.
  • Prepare reports, specifications, technical analysis to fully define the design requirements, equipment and services required
  • Survey facilities, develop and document procedures to audit the facility, provide evaluations and analysis, and recommend solutions to the team responsible for the infrastructure, safety and security.
  • Support the negotiation with vendors and present formal documentation for approval when required.
  • Ensure that contracts are fit for purpose, cost effective and incorporate appropriate Service Level Agreements.
  • Provide support to the site management team including: planning, specification of business proposals and coordination of subcontractors.
  • Facilitate and team with others on due diligence evaluation of new opportunities.
  • Ensure that resources contracted externally deliver work to meet duration and quality targets, addressing and ensuring the correction of underperformance issues.
  • Audit contractors to check that the skills and competences of contract labor are appropriate to need and they are fit to undertake the work on which they will be deployed.
  • Inform contractors of projected changes so that they can take appropriate action.
  • Establish and operate the information systems necessary for effective scheduling and recording of contract work.
  • Support contractors' work and help them to achieve higher performance levels.
  • Coach other new members on best practices.
Madrid, ESP

  • M.Sc of Civil Engineering or Architecture or equivalent disciplines.
  • Project Management experience from design phase through implementation and operation.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean analytical techniques.
  • MRICS / RIBA qualified, or Country equivalent.
  • Knowledge about Health and Safety in design and/or construction stages.
  • Ability to travel throughout Europe up to 50% of the time.
  • A second language among Arabic, German, French and Polish is preferred.
