    The primary role of the Security Solution Architect is to create and implement a platform/solution that enables Novartis to manage customer consents, preferences, and identities compliantly.

    This platform/solution will ensure transparency and facilitate personalized marketing strategies that resonate with the target audience across omni-channels. The architect will work closely with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, product management, engineering, data privacy, and security to develop a scalable and secure solution in alignment with Novartis enterprise architecture. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be at the forefront of privacy technology and innovation for our customers. Role and Responsibilities:
    • Design and develop a consent and preference and Identity management platform that complies with global privacy regulations and standards such as GDPR and CCPA
    • Collaborate with Novartis enterprise architecture team to stay in alignment with Novartis enterprise architecture standards and processes
    • Integrate consent, preference and identity data with various source systems, such as CRM and other third-party vendors
    • Collaborate with web, marketing, and customer engagement business stakeholders, product management and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
    • Work with data privacy and security teams to ensure the platform meets security and compliance standards
    • Conduct research and analysis on emerging privacy technologies and trends to identify opportunities for platform improvements and innovations
    • Develop and document technical specifications, system architecture, and data flows for the platform
    • Collaborate with third-party vendors and contractors to integrate their solutions into the platform as necessary
    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff
    • Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting as necessary
    • Participate in and contribute to the development of best practices, policies, and procedures related to consent and preference management
    • Solution and architecture designs and handbooks

    Role Requirements


    • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field


    • Minimum 12+ years of relevant Information Technology industry
    • 7+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture, with ideally 3 years of experience in consent and preference management
    • 3+ years of experience with Consent, preference, identity, and privacy management tools such as SAP CDC, One Trust etc
    • Should have a good understanding of customer engagement and marketing business processes in the pharmaceutical industry
    • Experience in working with various source systems and APIs to fetch/integrate and update consent and preference data
    • Strong knowledge of privacy regulations and standards such as GDPR and CCPA
    • Experience with distributed systems architecture, API design, and microservices
    • Experience in working with agile development methodologies and tools like Jira
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Experience with cloud-based technologies and platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus
