Job Description Summary:

GE Renewable Energy is one of the world's leading offshore wind energy companies, with a portfolio of offshore wind turbines ranging from 6 MW to 14 MW that offer increased value to customers with proven performance, reliability, efficiency and availability.

To be part of the PMO/T&I Engineering and Asset Management team of GE Wind Offshore.

The team is responsible for the design and supply of all the PMO/T&I tools for the GE Wind Offshore projects around the world.

The team is directing the design, manufacturing and supply of the tools related to the sea transport, road transport, storage, pre assembly and offshore installation of the wind turbines.


The team is also responsible to ensure full integration of tools and overall T&I requirements into the design of the turbine, as well as transferring a full documentation package, ready to be deployed by the PMO T&I Operations.

The team is accountable to continuously enhance the performances of PMO by improving transportability and installability of the WTG, and optimizing tools CAPEX footprint.


The PMO/T&I System Engineer is in charge to coordinate the different initiatives performed by the rest of the team, to ensure consistency in the entire set of solutions developed and in accordance with the design of the WTG product (tower, nacelle or blade) or in coordination with the PMO Operations functions (Transport, Marshalling Harbor, Installation, M&E, Commissioning).

Within the entire GE Offshore Wind organization, the PMO/T&I system engineer is the single point of contact for the WTG component or the PMO Operations functions he/she is in charge of.


Significant activities

  • Ensure collaboration works between T&I Engineering and PMO Operations
  • Ensure solutions developed will match with all the activities performed by PMO Operations functions: Transport / Marshalling harbor / Installation and M&E / Commissionning
  • Ensure collaboration works between T&I Engineering and WTG Engineering and Product Line
  • Ensure solutions developed will match with the component designs: Tower / Nacelle / Blade
  • Liaise with the different stakeholders to collect and register all the requirements
  • Gather all information through the different documents and processes: PRD / DM1 / DM2 / ECP / ECO
  • Analyze the ECP/ECO, liaise with other PMO stakeholders to inform about the change. When necessary, comment, reject or approve the ECP and ECO.
  • Lead budget, planification and on time execution of specific T&I studies in coordination with T&I Tools Engineers and T&I Structural Engineers
  • Lead budget, planification and on time execution of transport and rigging drawings, as well as any other documentation necessary for PMO Operations or WTG Engineering and Product Line
  • Lead implementation of lessons learn and improvements gathered during project execution
  • Lead cost out initiatives, with the support from the T&I tools engineers
  • Lead business cases by gathering different inputs to cover all costs (BOM/CAPEX/OPEX) as well as qualitative analysis (Pro's and Con's, EHS, risk management,). Promote the business case within GE organization and participate to the final decision.
  • Establish and maintain a catalogue of the PMO/T&I solutions developed by the team, to be used within GE as well as outside of GE (suppliers and clients).
  • Represent PMO/T&I engineering in front of the client to present the PMO/T&I solutions
  • Coordinate with IP team to ensure IP clearance and IP submittals
  • Ensure benchmark related to the different PMO/T&I activities

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master's degree in engineering

Eligibility Requirements

  • Significant experience in similar role
  • Experience in Wind, in Heavy Transport, Installation, M&E or Commissioning, tools and methods
  • Experience in coordination between different parties
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written
